A youth training organization operating in Brookline says its coaching roster includes both of Brookline High School's varsity basketball coaches.

BROOKLINE -- Unit 1 Athletics, which describes itself as offering "community-based youth sports programs" in basketball, field hockey and lacrosse, published coach biographies this week that connect its staff directly to Brookline High School's athletic department.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- According to Unit 1 Athletics' website, Jacob Page, who leads the organization's girls basketball program, is also Brookline High School's girls varsity basketball coach. The site credits him with two NCAA Division III conference championships and more than 12 years of experience developing youth athletes. Johnny Williams, who coaches Unit 1's boys basketball program, is listed as Brookline High School's boys varsity basketball coach; the site credits him with two MIAA Division II championships and a Coach of the Year honor in the Boston City League. The organization's girls lacrosse coach, Karaline Smith, is described on the site as a former team captain at the University of Connecticut, a Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association All-State selection, and a three-time Dual County League all-star.
