Brookline Library Launches Community Catch-up Speaker Series
BROOKLINE — Brookline Public Library is rolling out a slate of new fall programs this week, headlined by a Community Catch-up speaker series debuting at the Putterham branch on Thursday, Sept. 3. The launch comes as Brookline Public Schools prepares for a PreK-8 Teacher Collaboration Day on Sept. 4, and as Brookline Patch reports on a wave of Massachusetts food-industry expansions touching the area.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The Brookline Public Library is adding three new offerings to its fall calendar this week. An offsite Caffe Italiano conversation group meets Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Coolidge Corner Marriott, 40 Webster St., continuing the library's language-practice programming away from its usual branch. The library's English Club ELL Conversation Group, an informal practice session for English-language learners, begins Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the library. And a new Community Catch-up social hour, featuring local guest speakers, debuts Thursday, Sept. 3, at the Putterham branch.
