Select Board · Meeting of March 10, 2026

BROOKLINE — The Brookline Select Board stopped short of a final decision on whether to delay a May 26 special town meeting on Chestnut Hill rezoning after a second developer, Growth Companies, objected days before the vote. Member Paul Warren proposed pushing the vote to September 30, saying "my fear is that we go to town meeting with this proposal and we roll the dice on it and ... it's dead." Chair Bernard Greene suggested the late objection had "a clear ulterior motive." The board separately approved $822,764 in Affordable Housing Trust funds, combined with about $1.1 million in Community Preservation Act money, for Brookline Community Development Corporation to finish renovating a six-unit, 23-resident building at 154-156 Boylston Street after termite damage was discovered. The board also approved amended MBTA grants of location for five Green Line C Branch stations.
