Brookline Soccer Club sets fall registration deadlines as youth hockey opens Learn to Play sign-ups.

BROOKLINE -- Registration windows for several youth sports programs are opening or closing in the coming weeks, according to league websites.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- The Brookline Soccer Club is taking registrations for its K-2 instructional program ahead of the fall 2026 season. The club lists a registration deadline of Aug. 15 for its Kindergarten boys and girls program and an Aug. 1 deadline for both its 1st Grade League and 2nd Grade League programs; the club states no tryout is required for any of the three. The club is also fielding an "Assessment Request" from families hoping to join a travel team for fall 2026.

Brookline Youth Hockey announced July 20 that registration for its Learn to Play program is open. The club's website lists 19 BYH hockey teams and 280 hockey players, plus 58 skaters currently enrolled in Learn to Play.

TOWN -- The Brookline Recreation Department's website continues to promote its "Brookline Parks Passport" program and notes that acceptance into its financial aid program is open year-round on a rolling basis, according to the department's site.

No Brookline High School contests were listed on ArbiterLive for the period, and no new items specific to the week appeared in Patch's Brookline sports section.
