The Town Administrator's July newsletter highlighted the reopening of Brookline's golf course to all 18 holes for the season, alongside the debut of a new Public Health Plaza. The newsletter also offered tips for staying safe during extreme heat and rounded up summer recreation offerings, including the Rec Department's Summer Concert Series, Yoga in the Park and the Summer Eats Program.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Brookline Public Library has a full slate of programming this week. Teens can drop into Crafternoon on Monday, Aug. 3, from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. in the Rabbit Hole space at the Coolidge Corner branch. On Tuesday, Aug. 4, children's librarian Leah leads Summer Storytime, and kids ages 5 and up can build seed mosaics with Hands on Nature as part of the library's Plant a Seed, Read summer reading program; that day's Tech Tuesday session has been canceled. The Putterham branch hosts Community Catch-up on Thursday, Aug. 6, a social hour featuring local guest speakers discussing their roles in the community.
