Library Marks Summer Reading With Seed Mosaic Program
BROOKLINE — Real estate and personal property tax bills mailed by the town became due Monday, and the Public Library of Brookline marked its Plant a Seed, Read! summer reading program with a hands-on seed mosaic activity Tuesday for children ages 5 and up.

The Public Library of Brookline held its "Hands on Nature" seed mosaic program Tuesday as part of the ongoing Plant a Seed, Read! summer reading initiative, drawing children ages 5 and up to the library. The library has several events on deck this week, including an English Club ELL Conversation Group and a Movie Matinee on Wednesday, August 5, both open to residents, along with a Kindergarten Transition Meetup for incoming students at the William H. Lincoln School and John Pierce School the same day.
Looking further ahead, the library will host an origami workshop with librarian Jingting and an Adult Crafternoon drop-in session on Saturday, August 8, followed by a visit from the Massachusetts Horticultural Society's Plantmobile on Thursday, August 13, continuing the summer reading celebration.
