Newbery Street Coffee Roasters To Open First Café In Brookline

Newbery Street Coffee Roasters is preparing to open its first permanent café in Brookline, at 240 Harvard Street in Coolidge Corner, according to a report from WhatNow.com. The Public Library of Brookline continues its Plant a Seed, Read summer reading program this weekend with a full slate of family events. Brie's Balloons brings a balloon magic show for ages 3 to 8 to Hunneman Hall on Saturday, August 15, opening with a 45-minute show followed by an hour of balloon twisting. The same day, tweens ages 10 to 13 can join the Worlds in Words creative writing workshop, designed to inspire and expand curiosity through storytelling.

Younger patrons return to the library Monday, August 17, for a Stuffed Animal Sleepover, where children's stuffed companions spend the night at the library on an adventure before a keepsake reveal.
